"The Ultimate Gambler?"Hi gang,
Have you heard Bible teachers who believe in the omniscience of God--and teach accordingly--suddenly do an about-face and speak of God as being a "Great Gambler"? I've heard this gibberish many times, and coming from well educated BIBLE TEACHERS!The idea they're conveying is that God's purpose in calling people into being was to "give them a chance" to love Him before it's "forever too late", so that alas, He is forced to fry them "forever and ever." (Or "allow" them to fry themselves for eternity--or perhaps he will annihilate them. In either case, we have a monster of a god we're dealing with here because He is either too weak or too vindictive and unwilling to help His own creatures after they have passed a certain "deadline.")
Small wonder the nonchristian world isn't wooed to love and adore and worship this goofy God-caricature! Whaddayathink?
Silent reader, if you're fed up with all of the love/hate double-speak about God, I pray that you'll be much encouraged as you check out our webpage at www.sigler.org/slagle along with other websites and pages connected with Tentmaker.
God called you into being for a GOOD purpose--and it WAS NOT to gamble with your eternal destiny. The Bible is very clear as to God's purpose in creating us; it was so that everyone everywhere would be united under the loving reign of His dear Son, Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:9-11) You were created for the pleasure, will and delight of Infinite Unfailing Holy Love Himself! (Rev. 4:11) THAT is your reason for being.
Once it "comes home" to your heart that this is truly God's purpose, and that YOU--and your loved ones--have a GOOD purpose for being, and that God WILL accomplish His purpose, you'll be amazed by the changes that will happen in your life. For one thing...
You'll be totally in love with your heavenly Father... And THAT is the key to healing occurring in every aspect of your personality.
You can never TOTALLY trust and love "the Great Gambler"--the god who will prove himself reliable only if YOU prove to be reliable at the point of your departure from this life. Nor can you worship such a being and love him--wholeheartedly. Not if you have a mega-gift of "screwing up" and "blowing chances" like old Charlie has! For any "God" that is only as reliable as we are is not worth the time of day, since His trustworthiness is dependent on our trustworthiness. If your weary heart is as needy as mine is, you are looking for a Love that will never fail--even if you fail miserably. And sadly, much of the church DOES NOT have such a love to offer in their "good news" message, does it?
Actually, the ideology of "the Great Gambler" is atheism disguised in spiritual (sounding!) semantics, when you think about it... For to say that God will prove to be only as reliable as we are is actually to say that we are all there is of God at the end of the day.
Horrors! Diabolical stuff, religiosity, isn't it?
Yep. The spirit of antichrist wants to turn as many people into atheists as possible, of course. But if he can't do that, then he will settle for raising up "God-worshippers" who SAY they love Him while in their hearts they actually wish there were no god. In other words, the satanic ploy is to raise up a "church" that worships God with their lips "while their hearts are far removed from Him." (To quote a verse from the Bible while being too lazy to look it up.)
Signing off... Just remember... Any time you hear religious people protesting that "God gave us free wills" (implying that they were given so we can choose where we will spend eternity) you are hearing "the Great Gambler" distortion of God's character and purpose being promoted yet again.
This is definitely not a lovable of trustworthy god; this (god-caricature) is an irresponsible and cruel extortionist and rapist. And furthermore...YOU...are NOT a gambling chip! And your Heavenly Father loves you too much to lose you, my friend. And He will NEVER--not ever--give up on you. He loves you FAR MORE than the old spirit of antichrist (the spirit of religiosity!) would have you to believe...
Yours with love and prayers,
CharlieP.S. Lets imagine that your mom and dad had told you at age 7 that the reason (purpose) that they conceived you was because they loved gambling with the lives of their offspring and so that you would love them and praise them and make them look good before the world. And let's say that they also told you that if by the age of 12 or 13 (the "age of accountability" perhaps?) you were not loving and praising them as much as they wanted that they would put you in a cage in a deep basement filled with mesquitoes and NEVER let you come out. (Or perhaps would only "annihilate" you by putting a bullet in your brain.)
If they had done that, would that have DEEPLY BONDED YOUR HEART with your parents and caused you to love and adore them and rejoice that they were in your life--and you in theirs?
Having heard their self-centered purpose for having you and their (most gracious?) "ultimatum" would you have FELT sincere and deep affection for them in your heart?
Think about it.
This is the version of "the Heavenly Father" that religious christianity is advertising to a shattered and hurting world... And all because they have injested a DISTORTED concept of--GOD'S PURPOSE--in creating human beings. But praise God, world-wide spiritual awakening is coming, and all of the abuse that calls itself "love" and "good news" is coming to an END... Yes!!!
