Some assistance in keeping the back files hauled up into the front files...

The Bible says to give thanks in--and for--all things. We are also told to meditate on all that is true, virtuous, lovely, and of good report. In Psalm 96 the writer exhorts us to worship the Lord in the "beauty" of His holiness, and in Psalm 19 we are told that the statutes of the Lord
are right, rejoicing the heart. Morever it is here that we discover that "the fear of the Lord is clean and always endures." Too, our Lord tells us in John 6:63 that the words He speaks are "spirit (breath!) and they are life." And again, man is not to live by bread only, but by "every word" that proceeds from God's mouth...

Forasmuch as we all must surely agree that the "foundational truths" of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ conform to the above Scriptural critera, I now offer a few meditations for your quiet time of thanksgiving and worship. These are based on the gospel as traditional religiosity would have us to understand it:

*God is love, and love is kind and is the fulfillment of
the law to do unto others as one would be done by. Even
so, He has planned in advance from eternity past to
abandon most of His little neighbors (who are also His
offspring) to evil and fiery anguish forever. For God is love
and love never fails--unless YOU fail.

*The Lord hates legalism, but He also wants you to bear in mind
that he bestows the "gift of their heavenly reward" on those who
perform correctly in THIS lifetime--and he
trashes and burns those who do not.

*You shall love the Lord with the total commitment of your entire being--while also giving heartfelt thanks--that His commitment to you (and Your loved ones) is conditional on your (and their) performance
in THIS lifetime.

*You shall love the Lord with the total commitment of your entire being--while giving deepest thanks--that He is committed to you (and your loved ones) ONLY IF judgment day reveals that you (or they) have proven out to "truly born again" and not merely among the many who imagined that they were. (Matt. 7:19-23)

*Jesus loves the little children of the world--but not
enough to help them after they reach the "age of
accountability." Don't forget that there are multiplied
millions of children and teenagers already burning in
"hell"--and many more of such are daily slipping through
the cracks and joining them daily.

Happy meditations! :-)
