.......to continue proclaiming the neorthodox/liberal arminian ideology. Even so, I don't doubt your sincerity. I appreciate your giving me the same benifit of the doubt, bro. I have repeatedly pointed out many pitfalls in the arminian paradigm--when *seriously* believed on a daily basis. I *actually* believed it on a daily basis for many years. So I have hard experience to back me in maintaining that it is impossible to render to God unconditional, active and effective love--while seriously believing--that His active and effective love toward ourselves is conditional. Paul said to test all things and to hold fast that which is good. And that too is using Scripture for its own intents. Any understanding of God that sabatoges the greatest commandment as Arminianism does (Calvinism too) just simply has to be wrong. The missing factor? The restoration of all things spoken by all God's holy prophets since the beginning--for which there is *abundance* of support from both Testaments. God is worthy of all honor, power and praise--because--He has created all things for His pleasure, which He will surely accomplish. Love--active and effective Love Himself--never fails. As I've said before, Mark, shattered people aren't looking for a "chance" to "go to heaven" if they make sufficiently wise choices (which is Arminianism's bottom line message.) They're looking for a Love that never fails--even it they fail miserably. And such love is nonexistent in the arminian glad tidings. Decades of experience talking here, and the glad tidings that set me free to love God wholeheartedly was NOT Arminianism.Charlie
