SCENARIO: God has forseen and therefore "forordained" that that fallen and deceiving spirits will prove far more effective in seducing and destroying human beings than the Holy Spirit will be in leading them to Christ. Few EVER WILL be chosen and few EVER WILL find the narrow way. Thus we see that the "Loving and holy God" who has foreseen and foreordained this grim secenario is NOT to be taken for granted. Eternity is--l-o-n-g.So the urgent questions naturally arise--
*How much obedience is ENOUGH to make my calling and election from eternal damnation SURE? How much sin can I get away with? (Notice the focus?)
*How much should I love my neighbors as myself while bearing in mind that God DOESN'T love them as himself--at least not after they have kicked the bucket?
*Am I loving God--enough? I really don't love him, I abhor and fear the very thought of Him. But will he except it if I TRY to love Him and keep telling Him I love Him and sing lots of songs of praise to Him? Am I REALLY showing my love for God by my SINCERE AND JOYFUL obedience?
*How much wrong doctrine can I injest and still make it to heaven?
*God hates legalism, but He also hates disobedience. So how much resting in God's grace is--enough? How much obedience is--enough?
The list is endless. Bottom line? There IS no security in God's love apart from the assurance that He will reconcile all His cherished creation to Himself.
NOT FOR CHRISTIANS THAT--*ACTUALLY BELIEVE*--THEIR BIBLES AND TAKE SERIOUSLY THEIR OWN SINFULNESS THERE ISN'T.
