Here's what I mean #####. Many who preach Christ are requiring that we love God MORE than He love us--which is spiritual abuse in it's worst form. How? Here's how their message sabatoges the greatest commandment:"You shall love the Lord with the total commitment of all your heart, soul, *MIND* and strength--while bearing in *MIND* that His commitment to you is CONDITIONAL on YOUR performance in THIS lifetime."
Thus popular religiosity is requiring that we love God MORE (with stronger commitment) that He does us.
There just is NO GETTING AROUND this conclusion.
What is missing in the cruel and irrational equation? The missing factor in this abusive equation is called "the restoration of all things which has been spoken by all God's holy prophets since the world began."
(Acts.3:23, Eph. 1:9-11; 3:14, Psalm 22:27, Gen.12:3, Gal.3:8, Jn. 12:23-32)
Jesus said that many who are last shall be first, and many who are first shall be last. But thank God, "last" does NOT mean "never." That is the revelation that changed my life by spawning a "love affair" with my Heavenly Father that exterminated alcoholism, sexual perversion, and suicidal manic depression from my life!
Is it any wonder I was in bondage to despair and deep sin-patterns for so many years before? YIKES--I was trying to love God MORE than He loved me! But that is what the good news (?) I had been programmed with had required that I do...
Bless you, #####! Pray about it.
