 Hating sin 1

Hi #####, Hope it's okay if I join in with the conversation. I just wanted to share a few observations... First of all, because I now God is forever commited to me and my eternal well-being the burning love in my heart for HIM has ALSO become a raging fire of hatred for sin--as never before. I could not GENUINELY hate my painkillers of alcohol and cynicism and self-hatred and promiscuity as long as I labored under the cruel illusion that God expected that I love Him more than He loved me. And that is the cruel illiusion that Arminianism (Christ died for all but will never save all) perpetuates. I'll paraphrase Arminianism's perversion of the greatest commandment so you can see clearly what I'm saying--

***"You shall love the Lord with the total and uncondtional commitment of all of your heart, soul, *MIND*, and strength--while bearing in *MIND*--that His commitment to you is condtional on YOUR performance in THIS lifetime."***
Now there it is, #####, right out there in the open. YOU must love with action--unconditionally. However, God is exempted from this obligation? (Matt. 7:11,12) But here we have God demanding more love (commitment) from His creatures than He is able or willing to exert. How can such a cruel and irrational ideology as this foster anything BUT despair and cynicism and all of the SINS that go with them? I mean if *seriously* believed?

****Love minus commitment equals abusive nonsense.****

I know that your conscience (the first light God gave us before the Scriptures came forth) must surely bear witness with what I'm saying...It is appointed unto men once to die, and after that--no hope? That is not what the Scriptures say. Pray about it, okay?

Love and prayers,

Charlie
