Can One be Thankful About Hell?
By Charles SlagleI humbly submit the following prayers of thanksgiving in order to accommodate both Arminians and Calvinists. Hence, not all of these prayers of thanksgiving will meet with the approval of all readers, of course, as to doctrinal correctness.
But feel free to omit offering the prayers that you DO NOT endorse doctrinally and savor the ones that you do, okay?
And as long as the basic truth you endorse remains intact, feel free also to revise the wording of your thanksgiving to suit your own personality.
Bear in mind also that these are by no means comprehensive and are only just for starters, and now, here goes---
* Heavenly Father, HOLY Father, I thank you that You have planned from eternity past to abandon billions of people to endless fiery torture. How marvelous is the beauty of Your holiness! How utterly just and loving are Your ways!
* Lord, I thank you that I am not as other people. For by my own free will I followed the inner light of my conscience and found You. However, most others love evil and wickedness more than I did. So they will never be as diligent and wise as I was to earnestly seek you, and therefore You will give them their just deserts: Fiery torment forever and ever! I do sincerely thank You Lord, for your wonderful justice in doing this.
* Lord I just want to thank You that I am not as other people! I am VERY SPECIAL to You, and so You have predestined me for eternal bliss and billions of other people for never-ending agony in the raging fires of hell. This may well include many members of my family and many of my friends and co-workers, but to hell with them! (That is, if it be thy will, dearest Savior!) At least---I---will be saved, and THAT is what matters You.
* God I just want to thank you for helping me shut down as many abortion clinics as possible. I know it must grieve Your heart that SO MANY children who would otherwise reach the age of accountability and die in sin and go to hell forever now have been spared that fate. Now they HAVE to be in heaven with You, don't they? God, You do receive unborn children into heaven don't you? But I thank you that You have raised ME up to help rectify this terrible and irreverent sabatoging of Your justice! Thank you for courage and strength to proclaim Your truth to a world whose conscience has been seared with a hot iron. But not so with mine!
* Dear Father, I just want to thank you for the high honor of loving You with ALL my heart, soul, mind and strength. What joy it is to be TOTALLY COMMITTED to You, while You love myself and all others (my loved ones included) with only conditional commitment to our eternal well-being. I thank you, dearest Father that I possess a power of love and commitment that---YOU---do not know, nor will You ever possess. How truly great I am, and I thank You that You have made me superior even to Your lovely Self!
* Heavenly Father, I thank you that Christ will fail in his purpose to seek and save that which is lost, and will only succeed in saving some of that which was lost. He will draw, not ALL people to Himself, but only some. How trustworthy this Wonderful Saviour! And how marvelous are Your ways! You devised Your own eternal defeat at the hands of Satan from the beginning, sent Christ to destroy his works, already knowing he would only partially succeed! I thank You that this nevertheless INCREASES my trust in You and also INCREASES---immeasurably---my admiration for the devil's power. Shall I offer him even higher praises for his marvelous victory, dear Father? Please confirm, if so!
*Lord, how my hear thrills when I think of all the young teenagers burning in hell that reached the age of accountability and died, never hearing of Moses or Christ throughout history. Thank you for Your sterling justice, Lord! Let those fires burn HOT AND HEAVY!!! Especially for those young adolescents who HEARD of Christ but were too stupid to receive Him before it was too late. Oh, Loving and JUST Father, how my heart overflows with joy at the very thought of your justice!

These, 'basic truths' (?) of the 'gospel' of eternal hell-fire are just for starters, as I said earlier. But hopefully this will help you get rolling in your meditations upon 'whatsoever things are just and true' while 'in everything' remembering to give thanks.
