(1) Good news, dear brokenhearted, weak and despairing one... Salvation is a "gift!" You don't have to DO anything to receive a gift. Ahem! Er, what I means is, all that you have to DO is receive Jesus NOW and keep on receiving Him every moment of every day for the rest of your life, and He'll take you to heaven. That is, if you don't foul up TOO badly.(2) Good news, dear brokenhearted and despairng one. Just focus on jeeeezus. Just keep praising JEEEEZUSS. Stop worrying that you may try to serve Him for all of your life and you may end up in hell anyhow because you screwed up. As long as you love Him with all of your heart soul, mind and strength, every minute of every day you don't have to DO anything. Salvation is a "gift."
(3) Good news, broken and backslidden Christian manic depressive! Salvation is a GIFT and it means "rescue"--not "reward." Just watch out for those little daily choices of yours and you'll probably never make the BIG choice to "deny Christ", and then He will see to it that you get your heavenly "reward."
(4) Good news, brokenhearted and trashed out one. Jesus is only asking for your trust. Yes, He does plan to burn most people alive forever who have never hear of Him in this lifetime--as well as many Christians who failed to walk "the narrow way." But just keep THAT part of the truth as it is in Jesus in your mental BACK FILES. He doesn't want you to take hell TOO seriously so that it disintergrates your faith. On the other hand, are you sure where YOU will spend eternity?
(5) Good news, brokenhearted and despairing one! If you'll receive Jesus NOW and keep on receiving Him for the rest of your life, you won't have to spend eternity in hell with all your unsaved family that died in a car wreck last year! When you get to heaven Jesus will just blot all memory of them (and your earthly inter-actions with them) from your memory banks. Yes, I realize this will turn you into a mindless zoombie and you'll have no idea of who YOU are, and where you came from, or even WHY you are in heaven. But at least you'll be there, won't you?
(666) Good news broken and despairing one! You can count
on Unfailing Holy Love--if He can count on YOU. But don't
worry that God is only as reliable as you are. Just "back
file" that (until WE tell you to think about it if you're
being naughty) and enter into "praise and worship" of the
One who is no more reliable than you are! Just keep your
focus on the goodness of jeeeezus, and WE'LL haul endless
hell-fire back to your mental front files if we see that
you're not being a good boy. Joy, joy, joy!
